you don’t need to arrive knowing what to do in front of the camera. i’ll guide you through it slowly and thoroughly, paying attention to the way you move, the way you interact, and the moments when you begin to forget about the camera altogether.
sometimes that means spending a quiet morning at home with your family. sometimes it means wandering through a place that matters to you, building an editorial concept from the ground up, or making something that feels entirely unlike what you’ve done before.
my approach to portraits thrives in conversation, observation and thorough direction. i’ll adjust the light, refine a pose, move something out of the frame, or slow everything down when the moment calls for it.
whether we’re documenting maternity, family, branding, or simply who you are in this particular season, the goal is never to make you perform a version of yourself for the camera.
do i make everyone stop, smile and say cheese for a few? absolutely. but i'm always waiting for what happens between those photos, too.
